How we got here

2021 — The idea

Our concept was born

Founded in Brussels by a team of ex-collections professionals and fintech engineers, frustrated by the fragmented, outdated tools available on the market. We set out to build the platform we always wished existed.

2022 — First clients

Pilot program launches

Onboarded the first Belgian collection agencies and put our platform to the test in real operations. Within the first two years, we processed over €80M in invoice volume — validating the concept and earning the trust of our early partners.

2023 — AI integration

AI payment matching & smart scenarios

We introduced AI-powered payment matching, automatically reconciling bank transactions to open invoices with over 80% accuracy. We also launched scenario-based AI workflows — letting agencies define collection strategies that adapt intelligently to debtor behaviour.

2024 — Going live

Platform opens for business

After years of refinement, we made the decision to open Récolta to the wider market. The platform went live for general business use — with self-service registration, instant activation via Mollie, and full multi-country support. We expanded to serve agencies across France, the Netherlands and Germany.

2025 — Legal portal

Legal escalation module

Launched a dedicated legal portal allowing seamless hand-off from collections teams to law firms — all within the platform. Agencies can now manage the full lifecycle from first reminder to legal enforcement in one place.
